Local Action Advocates
Local Action Advocates are involved in activities on the local/regional level to educate and influence elected officials, policy makers, and community members. Advocates both organize and participate in all sorts of local events to promote KTP issues.
These include the following:
TELEPHONE CALL-IN CAMPAIGNS
WRITING LETTERS TO ELECTED OFFICIALS
HOLDING LEGISLATIVE BREAKFASTS
SPONSORING CANDIDATE FORUMS
PUBLIC SPEAKING AND OUTREACH
SCHEDULING MEETINGS WITH LEGISLATORS
VOTER REGISTRATION CAMPAIGNS
Be as Creative as You Can!
Advocates have held art shows, spaghetti dinners, and many other wonderful ideas to engage decision-makers and educate the community about the KTP message and issues. Send information on your local activities to Keep the Promise to qualify for an award at the annual awards celebration – we appreciate our volunteers!
Let us know if we can help…we’re here to assist!
