The Local Action Advocates are involved in activities on the Local/Regional level to educate and influence elected officials and policy makers. These folks organize and participate in all sorts of events to promote mental health issues. These include the following:

	TELEPHONE CALL-IN CAMPAIGNS
	WRITING LETTERS TO ELECTED OFFICIALS
	HOLDING LEGISLATIVE BREAKFATS
	SPONSORING CANDIDATE FORUMS
	PUBLIC SPEAKING AND OUTREACH
	SCHEULING MEETINGS WITH LEGISLATORS
	VOTER REGISTRATION CAMPAIGNS
